Motherhood Postpartum

Continuing my journey, from 2015 to January 2017, I navigated through a period of self-discovery, marked by my separation from my ex-husband. Life took a surprising turn when I moved back in with him in January 2017, and in April of that year, I discovered I was unexpectedly pregnant. Fast forward to March 2018, approximately three months post-birth – I found myself feeling enormous, yet still mentally stuck in my pre-pregnancy weight mindset. Attempting to fit into my old clothes became a source of depression as nothing seemed to fit right.

The picture taken during that time became a turning point. I rarely ventured outside, grappling with a weight complex that left me feeling lost. Motherhood had consumed me entirely, leaving little room for self-identity. My days were dedicated to my son, trapped in a whirlwind of emotions, hourly feedings, and pumping. Recognizing the woman I once knew was challenging. I withdrew from the world, focusing solely on what was within my four walls. Overprotectiveness led to distancing myself from loved ones.

However, gazing into my son's smiling face made me realize he deserved the best version of me. He loved me regardless of my appearance. To give him the best, I knew I had to turn my life around. Uncertain of where this path would lead, I decided to try. Every day and night, I carved out time for workouts – not lengthy sessions, but enough to integrate it into my routine. The stroller and playpen became constant companions.

This transformative phase marked the birth of Snatched, initially known as Get Waisted. Initially shared with close friends and family, the program yielded results that were not only exciting but also showcased the beauty of women reconnecting with themselves and falling in love. As Get Waisted gained momentum and positive feedback, I realized I had stumbled upon something remarkable.
